FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Dialog Custom Media (DCM), a South Florida-based custom publishing house, announces the addition of Janet Santelices, art director. She will oversee all design concepts and artwork elements produced for DCM's client magazines, newsletters and electronic media.
A seasoned veteran of nearly 20 years, Santelices has extensive experience in planning, design and production for a variety of media, including magazines, daily newspapers, books, marketing collateral and feature films. The announcement was made by Peggy Nordeen, president of Starmark International. DCM is a subsidiary of Fort Lauderdale-based Starmark, a full-service integrated marketing communications company.
Prior to joining DCM, Santelices served as art director for Fort Lauderdale-based ShowBoats International magazine, ShowMedia, LLC - a newsstand magazine that showcases the finest luxury megayachts in the world. She provided art direction for the magazine's editorial pages and informational graphics, and oversaw quality control over reproduction and high-end printing. Additionally, Santelices was in charge of editing photography and the coordination of photo assignments for the publication's features and promotional events.
Santelices began her professional career as the art director of Multi-Media Productions of America, Inc., a Jacksonville (Fla.)-based advertising agency. Santelices has also served a number of production design and art director roles for the Miami Herald and Knight Ridder. An extremely talented professional with a keen eye for aesthetic perfection, she has earned a sundry of accolades reflecting her projects, including a Silver ADDY Award and numerous SUNMAG (Sunday Magazine Editors Association) Awards.
A native of Chicago, Santelices has a bachelor's degree in commercial design.
